Fees and records
6 questions and answers about “Fees and records” in Football First, the app for football clubs and youth academies.
How do I set up membership fees?
Open Fees and records → Fee settings. There you choose the currency and how many months a medical exam is valid, and under Fee per team the period (Monthly, Half-yearly, Yearly) and amount for each team.
Fees are never owed backwards: they count from the day the fee was set up or the day the player joined the club, whichever is later.
How do I record a fee payment?
In Fees and records open the team, the Membership fee tab, and click Mark as paid for the player. Enter the amount, payment date, method (cash, bank, other) and optionally a note. Fix a mistake with Undo.
The filters Not paid this period and Behind show who still owes. The club admin records payments.
How do I give a discount or exempt a player from fees?
In the team's fee list open the player and under Fee for this player choose Standard, Own amount or Exempt, give a reason (e.g. "second child discount") and click Save fee.
What does a coach see in fees?
A coach sees the teams of their age group: who has paid this period, FA registration and medical exams. Amounts and payments are kept by the club admin, so coaches don't see them.
The admin can turn this on or off per coach (the right "Fees and records (view)").
How do I mark FA registration and the medical exam?
In Fees and records open the team, the Registration & health exam tab, and for the player:
- tick Registered with the FA and optionally enter the registration number
- enter the Date of the exam; an exam is valid for the configured number of months (usually 6)
Statuses show Valid, Expires soon, Expired or Not done. Only the exam date is kept, never results.
Can I as a parent see whether the fee is paid?
Not yet: fees are kept by the club admin and coaches. If you're not sure your payment was recorded, ask the coach or the club admin.
